32 Custom House has been re-imagined by ASH NYC, developer and interior designer of the Dean Hotel, as ten bespoke apartments for rent.

Built in 1875, the building is situated within the historic Custom House District.  A stone's throw from Weybosset Street and one block from the river, the building typifies High Victorian Gothic Style.

The historic glass storefront is framed by rope moulding and bronze casements.  A carefully curated retail space occupies the ground floor.  A private lobby, serviced by an elevator and the grand original stair, serve the residential apartments above.  The ten-unit building is comprised of both one and two bedrooms.

The ground floor retail space has been leased to KNEAD Doughnuts, which is positioned to become the leading multi-unit specialty doughnut retailer in Rhode Island.  In partnership with the founders of Bolt Coffee Company, located at The Dean Hotel, and possessing more than 25 years of shared experience in the baking, coffee, and retail food service industries, KNEAD's management team brings invaluable insight to the development of its product, brand, and customer experience.  KNEAD will offer only fresh, scratch-made doughnuts produced with wholesome ingredients with a menu ranging from timeless classics to innovative flavor combinations.

The bakery, designed in collaboration with ASH NYC, will be a welcome addition to an already bustling downtown food scene in Providence, and provide residents and neighbors alike with a great space to grab a coffee and a doughnut while heading out on their morning commutes.
